Our annual visit to the Lister Hospital children's ward took place on Thursday evening with representatives from the men's and women's teams, Boro' Foundation, management staff and the Supporters Association .
Moving through the Bluebell Ward and onto the A&E department the party handed out a selection of presents to help brighten up the children's day.
A full report will appear on the Club website but the SA would like to place on record our thanks to those who supported us giving of their time and gifts and in some cases both.
Firstly no "army" marches on an empty stomach so our thanks go to William at W J Rowe, Bedwell for providing the fish & chip suppers.
To Jo, Christina and playstaff at the hospital for managing our visit from their end.
To Mike Pink, Alfie Dinsey, Katy Rainbird and Melissa Edwards from the Club.
To Alex Revell and Jorden Gibson on behalf of the playing staff.
To Jacky Berners and Claire Hickey of the Supporters Association.
And last but by no means least to all members of the Stevenage F C Supporters Association who have made these children's stay in hospital just that little bit better.
Oh almost forgot, must give a shout out to the big hairy thing wandering around the wards with us. At Tuesday's game he was running from the tunnel waving his flag, at half time he was goalkeeper saving penalties from the Juniors. Boro' Bear you can have a rest now.........until next week. Merry Christmas Everybody. SFCSA
